HERO FARMERS

In the beginning, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta was inhabited only by Indigenous communities. But since the end of the 19th century, several groups from all coffee regions of Colombia migrated to the area bringing their knowledge and experience to the mountains of this jungle-like territory covered by the breezes of the Caribbean Sea. This merger results in a new union of Colombian families who established several private coffee farms in the Sierra.
