HERO FARMERS

In the beginning, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta was inhabited only by Indigenous communities. But since the end of the 19th century, several groups from all coffee regions of Colombia migrated to the area bringing their knowledge and experience to the mountains of this jungle-like territory covered by the breezes of the Caribbean Sea. This merger results in a new union of Colombian families who established several private coffee farms in the Sierra.

NÁPOLES FARM

NÁPOLES FARM

The Nápoles Farm was founded by La Familia Tovar Casas at the End of the 50’s and is located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, village of San Fernando, municipality of Ciénaga. At the time of the coffee revolution, this farm was greatly impacted by the arrival of coffee communities making it the main producer of specialty coffees in the Sierra Nevada. For generations, the Tovar family has worked together with rural and native communities developing a sense of belonging with methods that strengthen natural resources and improve coffee quality.
